Remote visual inspection without an app or a live call

A remote visual inspection only works if the right things are recorded. Guided capture defines the shots, the questions and the checklist so every inspection returns comparable evidence.

No app. No account. No video call.

What is remote visual inspection and how does it work?

Remote visual inspection means assessing equipment, an installation or a site from recorded visual evidence instead of attending in person. A guided link is sent to whoever is on site. They are prompted step by step to record defined video, photos, identification details and checklist answers from their phone browser. The inspecting team reviews the completed record when they are ready, so the inspection does not depend on both sides being available at the same moment.

The typical situation

Inspections are booked as site visits by default, even when the assessment could be made from good visual evidence — and ad-hoc photos sent by email are inconsistent and incomplete.

Who records the video

The customer, site contact, operator, contractor or technician standing in front of what needs to be inspected.

What is captured

  • Defined inspection shots and angles
  • Overview and close-up video
  • Asset identification and serial plate
  • Meter readings and indicator states
  • Checklist responses per inspection point
  • Structured answers and notes

How the service team uses it

  • Assess condition without travelling
  • Compare inspections on a consistent basis
  • Decide whether an on-site inspection is needed
  • Attach the record to the asset or case
  • Review across regions and time zones

Operational outcomes

  • Fewer inspection visits
  • Faster assessment turnaround
  • Consistent inspection evidence
  • A durable record per asset

Outcomes depend on your own service operation. We do not publish savings percentages that have not been measured with you.

Two directions of video

Before dispatch, and from the field.

The same structured approach is used in both directions, with different capture steps.

01 Customer or site → Service team

  1. Service request received
  2. Guided video link sent
  3. Customer or site contact records
  4. Service team reviews
  5. Resolve remotely or dispatch correctly

02 Field technician → Head office

  1. Technician opens the job
  2. Guided capture on site
  3. Checklist and readings
  4. Before and after evidence
  5. Completion record reviewed centrally
