Guided video for industrial equipment service

Industrial equipment faults are hard to describe over the phone. A guided recording from the operator gives the technical team the machine, the code and the condition in one case.

No app. No account. No video call.

How can industrial service teams collect better information before dispatch?

The machine operator receives a guided link and is prompted to show the machine, the warning code, the serial plate and the affected component. The technical team reviews the case, determines the likely cause, and decides which engineer and which parts are required before anyone travels to site.

The typical situation

Production is stopped, the fault is described second-hand, and the engineer arrives without the component that would have ended the downtime.

Who records the video

The machine operator, the maintenance contact on site, or the attending service engineer.

What is captured

  • Machine running or failing to run
  • Control panel and fault code
  • Serial and type plate
  • Affected component close-up
  • Sound and movement of the fault
  • Safety and access conditions

How the service team uses it

  • Confirm the machine model and configuration
  • Interpret the fault code against the equipment
  • Advise the operator on immediate safe actions
  • Identify the parts likely required
  • Escalate to a product specialist with full context

Operational outcomes

  • Shorter downtime
  • Right parts on the first visit
  • Less specialist travel
  • Better maintenance history

Outcomes depend on your own service operation. We do not publish savings percentages that have not been measured with you.

Two directions of video

Before dispatch, and from the field.

The same structured approach is used in both directions, with different capture steps.

01 Customer or site → Service team

  1. Operator reports a fault
  2. Guided link sent to the line
  3. Machine, code and plate recorded
  4. Technical team reviews
  5. Engineer and parts assigned

02 Field technician → Head office

  1. Technician opens the job
  2. Guided capture on site
  3. Checklist and readings
  4. Before and after evidence
  5. Completion record reviewed centrally
