Solar and storage

Guided video for solar and battery storage maintenance

Most solar service calls begin with an inverter fault code and a monitoring alert. A guided recording turns that into something the technical team can actually assess.

No app. No account. No video call.

How can solar maintenance teams document faults remotely?

The site operator or owner receives a guided link and records the inverter display, the status lights, the equipment label and the affected string or battery unit. The service team reviews the case, attempts remote resolution where possible, and otherwise dispatches with the correct replacement part.

The typical situation

A monitoring alert gives a code but no context, so a technician is sent simply to look at the inverter.

Who records the video

The site operator, the system owner, or the attending solar technician.

What is captured

  • Inverter display and fault code
  • Status LEDs and isolator positions
  • Equipment and serial label
  • Array, mounting and cabling condition
  • Battery unit and enclosure
  • Roof or ground-mount access

How the service team uses it

  • Confirm inverter model and firmware context
  • Interpret the fault code correctly
  • Guide a safe reset where appropriate
  • Prepare the right replacement unit
  • Document commissioning and warranty evidence

Operational outcomes

  • Fewer visits for resettable faults
  • Faster warranty documentation
  • Correct parts on the first visit
  • Clear records for asset owners

Outcomes depend on your own service operation. We do not publish savings percentages that have not been measured with you.

Two directions of video

Before dispatch, and from the field.

The same structured approach is used in both directions, with different capture steps.

01 Customer or site → Service team

  1. Service request received
  2. Guided video link sent
  3. Customer or site contact records
  4. Service team reviews
  5. Resolve remotely or dispatch correctly

02 Field technician → Head office

  1. Technician opens the job
  2. Guided capture on site
  3. Checklist and readings
  4. Before and after evidence
  5. Completion record reviewed centrally
